miley X MAYBELLINE: Serum Lipstick

Maybe it’s…Miley.

There are many shades of Miley—far more than what you see under the spotlight.

She’s a spectrum all her own, with tones stretching wide in range, rich in depth, all her.

Lipstick is her creative tool and every shade is a different facet to flex.

This product launch marked Miley Cyrus’s first campaign with Maybelline, and we used it as an opportunity to highlight the alignment between her personal ethos and the brand’s values.

I was the lead writer on this project from the moment the product was named (then renamed about 4 more times), to writing the scripts, to helping direct Miley on set, to sitting with our editor helping find all the perfect shots.

One thing I know for sure, is this song is catchy af and never gets old—even after playing it on repeat on set.
